All of our coaches are fully qualified to ECB standards, they also hold first aid certificates and have been ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ checked.

Tim is a qualified ECB Level 2 coach who came away from the University of Brighton with a 1st class degree in Sports Coaching and Development. Tim has enjoyed coaching through the levels and has played the role of Head Coach to multiple youth squads at county festivals as well as working as 1st Team Coach for Bexhill CC’s Sussex Premier League side.
As a player Tim has enjoyed a number of seasons opening the batting at Premier League level for Bexhill CC’s 1st XI coming up against the likes of Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer. Tim also batted in the top order for Brighton University 1st XI and is is a fully qualified member of the MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club).
Outside of cricket, Tim has spent a season as Head Player Coach of the South East Tigers Men’s Basketball Squad. South East Tiger’s currently compete in the Sussex Basketball League and although Tim no longer coaches the squad he remains an integral part of the team, starting at the point guard position.
Southampton Solent University graduate, Matthew studied a BSc (Hons) Degree in Sports Coaching.
A level 2 ECB qualified coach, Matthew has coached from grass roots primary school cricket clubs through to the elite players on the Hampshire staff. He has spent two years working closely with the Hampshire youth squads and Academy, as the age groups bowling and fielding coach, as well as assisting the Head coach for the Hampshire U12’s. Matthew has a great relationship with the County, forwarding a number of players for trials.
Matthew has represented both Hampshire and Kent at a 2nd team level alongside an off season of training and continual work with Hampshire C.C.C 1st team. Matthew has represented Hampshire Academy following a successful youth career in the Sussex age groups spanning from U10s to the Academy. Matthew also plays Sussex Premier League cricket for Eastbourne C.C & Middleton C.C and was a permanent representative of Southampton Solent University in the top flight of University cricket throughout his three years of his higher education, also holding the position of vice captain in this time.
A Level 3 ECB qualified coach, Will has experience in coaching at both youth and men’s club cricket level. Alongside this Will has worked with the Sussex CCC junior pathway program.
During Wills time as a player for Sussex CCC from 2018-2020, Will was exposed to elite level coaching and training plans! Giving him a hands on experience at the top level during which he learnt from a number of international coaches. Will has been able to transfer personal experiences and deliver high level results for young players.
Will has been a professional cricket player from 2018-2020 at Sussex CCC and made his first class debut against Middlesex! Prior to that Will was on the Sussex Academy and has played in the Sussex premier league for his club side, as well as being captain for his college side at Aldridge Cricket Academy. Will’s cricket has taken him across the world to play in different conditions such as Australia, Dubai and South Africa.
Matthew joined Skillz Sports Academy at the beginning of January 2020 as an Apprentice Coach.
Matthew has assisted at events such as Academies and Holiday camps as well as 121 sessions, in between studying for his ECB Level 2 coaching certificate. Matthew has already completed his health and safety certificate in addition to completing First Aid training prior to the COVID pandemic lockdown.
Matthew will continue his training to become a fully-fledged member of the Skillz Team, with a view to becoming a high-level cricket coach within Skillz Sports Academy.
Matthew represented Hellingly men's during 2015-2020 & 1st XI 2018-2020 as a top order batsman, and is Vice Captain of his Sunday Team. He has a career best of 150* in 2019. Matthew currently plays for Crowhurst Park CC. Matthew studied at Hailsham Community College and helped his cricket team reach the semi-finals in the County Cup. This achievement also won them the accolade of best state school in the County that year.
